What to include in a tattoo booking request

I read every request that comes in. The ones I can answer fastest are the ones that give me enough to picture the project.

What I need

• The idea, in your own words, even if it is not fully formed
• Placement, as specific as you can be
• Rough size, measured or compared to something on your body
• Photos of the area, in natural light
• Photos of any existing tattoos or scars nearby
• References that show the feeling you are after
• Your general availability and how soon you hope to start

What helps but is optional

Tell me if the piece has meaning behind it. I do not need the whole story, but knowing what matters to you changes how I draw it.

What slows things down

• A single reference with no placement
• Screenshots of another artist's finished tattoo you want copied
• Photos taken in dark rooms or at extreme angles
